Hello my crafty friends! Hope you are doing well.
I have a one question for you….how do you store your medical or first aid supplies while traveling? Think back to 2019 or earlier before you answer! Do you have a designated box or a pouch, or maybe (like me) you keep everything in a plastic zip lock bag, which annoys me each time I go away, because it is messy and I can never find what I need quickly enough. I decided to change this to make my life easier and more organized so I can travel in style (when allowed of course)! How you ask? I designed a new pattern and I am finally able to share it with you! It is my absolute pleasure to show you my latest creation, First Aid travel pouch pattern.
First Aid travel pouch is a perfect storage solution to keep all your medical and First Aid supplies on the go! This pattern is suitable for an intermediate sewist, however if you know how to attach a zipper and sew around curved corners, then you should be able to make your own First Aid travel pouch.
You can fully customize the front by add a iron-on patch, embroidery design, draw “First Aid” with a fabric marker, use heat transfer paper or any other method to do the lettering, plus you can choose a square or a cross design from the pattern. The First Aid travel pouch features a top zipper closure, a side handle and a clear ID pocket on the back where you can keep next of kin and doctor information, list of supplies or a mini First Aid guide. Inside the pouch you will find two slip pockets on the front flap, plus two cargo pockets and two smaller slip pockets on the back. There is also a divider in the middle with additional three cargo pockets on one side and two slip pockets on the other side. Most of the pockets are sewn using a clear vinyl or a mesh fabric, so it is easy to see the content inside.
