Molly zipper pouch – free sewing pattern by Allsewpetite

Hello, my crafty friends!!! I hope you are doing well.
Do you ever wake up with an idea that you must try right away? Last month I showed you an awesome hack on how to add a zipper closure to a drawstring backpack, which you can read about here. really I like how this simple change transformed a regular drawstring backpack into something completely different. Shortly after, I woke up one morning with an idea to make a matching zipper pouch, which I had to try straight away.

I have drafted a mini version of the drawstring backpack pattern, picked my fabric and started sewing! I loved the result and shared it on my social media. You loved it too, and in the space of hours, I was asked if the pattern will be available on my website. At first, I did not plan to release it, but after a (very) brief consideration, I decided that you deserve it 😊
And because the drawstring backpack pattern is free, it won’t come as a surprise if I tell you that this new zipper pouch pattern, called Molly, is also free!!!

Molly is a large, soft pouch with a fully lined main compartment which is easily customizable if you prefer additional pockets. It features a top zipper closure and a zipper pocket on the front, large enough to fit most mobile phones.
An accent bottom panel with boxed corners creates depth and is ideal if you want to mix and match your fabrics.
This pattern is suitable for a confident beginner or anyone who wants to improve their sewing skills and is a perfect project to use up bigger scraps of precious fabric.

Molly zipper pouch is ideal for storing any number of items such as craft supplies, snacks and cosmetics.
It would be a wonderful gift for a family member, friend or teacher and a perfect way to fill up your craft stall at the local market!

  1. I love your Molly bag. I see the supplies needed but I cannot find the size you want me to cut out the different fabrics.
