Stevie bag pattern – testers roundup

It is time to show you the Stevie bags made by my lovely and very talented group of pattern testers! They used a variety of fabric from cork, faux leather, wax and waterproof canvas to quilting cotton and each one has a completely unique look. The style is suitable for both men and ladies, but the fabric choice is key. You can highlight different parts of the bag by using various colours and textures of the fabric or keep it muted and simple with one colour.

Are you ready?!

“Great pattern, much bigger than you would expect just looking at the pattern. I was pleasantly surprised.”

@bagsandmorebysabrina

“Suited to intermediate/ advanced makers. A useful small bag for everyday use.”

@bobbin_broad

“I found it was quite challenging. It is good bag for a teen or a minimalist. It can easily fit a book, bottle of water, small wallet.”

@Pattyodesigns

“I loved the overlay for the interior pocket and the instructions were very clear on how to tape it and sew the pocket. I love how the front pocket is just the right size to add an embroidery design in a 4×4 hoop.”

@Lauren Isch

“I really like this bag. I struggled with the rounded corners when attaching the front and back to the gusset, but I am hoping I can improve my skills with that. What I love about this pattern is that it can be made in more masculine fabrics for the guys.”

@edgeanddolor

“It’s a fashionable crossbody bag. Big enough to hold all your belongings. Well written and easy to follow instructions.”

@iamglendasam

“A lovely little bag, perfect for those times when you don’t need to carry lots. A great pattern, very clear and easy to follow.”

@Sam Harbottle

“This is such a cute bag. I can see myself making more. The pattern is so well written and the awesome photos make the bag a very fun sew, it doesn’t leave you questioning the intent of the designer.”

@J Spears Designs

“It was a fun little bag to make. It goes together quickly and has unlimited possibilities for fabrics and uses.”

@ovesonlife

“Lots of things I love about the pattern, the way card slots are made, the roominess inside and the overall look.”

@Bagsandbling50
