Hello, my crafty friends! How are you doing today? Christmas is approaching really fast, but I managed to design one last bag pattern for this year! Cannot believe what year that has been! This pattern was named after my mum, so it holds great importance for me. Like her, Dana tote & bag is one of a kind, ever-changing and can carry a tone (in her heart).
Dana tote & bag is the perfect carry-all bag for market, school, beach, or work. The pattern comes with 3 style variations: classic tote, fold-over tote and, bag. The two handles and the adjustable strap allow it to be worn as a crossbody bag or a shoulder bag, or you can skip these altogether and use it as a clutch.
Dana tote & bag features an external zipper pocket on the back and a slip pocket on the front which can be either secured by a magnetic snap or divided into two smaller compartments. In addition, you can add cargo and slip pockets in the lining to keep your small items organized. The large main compartment can hold a tablet, book, wallet and other essentials with the option of a recessed zipper closure for added security. A must-have versatile bag in your wardrobe.

60 cm / 90 cm (27” / 36”) Heavyweight stabilizer (V2 or V3), 160 cm / 145 cm (63” / 57”) Lightweight interfacing
2.5 cm (1”) D- ring x 2 (V2 or V3), 2.5 cm (1”) swivel hook x 2 (V2 or V3), 2.5 cm (1”) strap slider / adjuster x 1 (V2 or V3)
12 mm (½”) Magnetic snap x 1, Rivets (optional) x 7 – 15 (depending on version)
32 cm (13”) #5 Zipper x 1, 45 cm (17”) #5 Zipper x 1 (optional for V1 & V2)
Zipper end x 1 (optional), 6 mm (1/4”), Double sided tape (optional), Multi-surface glue (optional), Edge kote (optional)
Finished measurements: Width 42 cm (16 1/2”) / Height 40 cm (15 3/4”) V1 & V2 or 26 cm (10 1/4”) V3 / Depth 12 cm (4 3/4″)
Skill level: Intermediate
Version 1 – Classic tote with added recessed zipper and front slip pocket divided into two compartments.
Version 2 – Foldover tote with a slip pocket secured by a magnetic snap closure.
Version 3 – Dana bag – with the structured body and a recessed zipper closure.
