Hello, my crafty friends!
Are you like me, someone, who values organization and productivity but struggles to find a system that works for you? I totally get it. That’s why I love DIY projects that look great and make my life easier.
One organizational tool that I use all the time is the ring binder. But let’s be honest; keeping small items like pens, pencils, and paper clips organized within the binder can be frustrating. My go-to solution is a ring binder pouch with a zipper closure, clear vinyl front, and eyelets for easy attachment to your binder.
Even better, you can create this pouch in any size, which means you can customize it to fit your unique organizational needs. With this pouch, you can easily keep all your small items in one place, making it a breeze to stay productive and focused.
So if you’re ready to level up your organizational game and have some fun, let’s get started!

Make a custom-size ring binder pouch pattern.
Grab your paper, pencil, and ruler, and draft your ring binder pouch pattern. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
Step 1: Determine the size of your pouch.
The first step is to decide how big you want your pouch to be. Measure the height and width of your binder, and decide how much of that space you want your pouch to take up. Consider the size of the items you’ll be storing in the pouch. I like to use the binder sleeves as a reference for the finished size of my pouch.
Step 2: Draw the pouch shape on paper
Using your ruler and pencil, draw a rectangle based on the measurements you decided on in step 1 and add a trim along the left edge (inside the rectangle). The width of the trim will depend on your preference and the size of eyelets you want to use; 2.5 cm (1″) is a good size for most eyelets.

Step 3: Trace individual pattern piece
Using tracing or baking paper, trace individual pattern pieces and add 1 cm (3/8″) seam allowance to your templates.
Annotate your pattern pieces: pattern name, grainline, midpoints etc.
And cut out your pattern pieces using scissors or a rotary cutter.
Congratulations on creating your very own ring binder pouch pattern!
With this pattern, you can make a functional and stylish pouch that will keep your items organized and easily accessible.
Remember, you can customize the size and design of your pouch to fit your specific needs. Experiment with different fabrics, colours, and embellishments to make your pouch truly unique.

Not only is making your own organizational tools functional, but it can also be a fun and inspiring DIY project. So keep crafting and stay organized, my crafty friends!
